A truly unique table/size; this size is rarely, if ever, seen rendered in ' Verde Alpi ' Italian Marble.  (Check the Knoll website - the current size maxes out at 42").  Verdi Alpi, as the name suggests, is a green marble, with hues varying in tone and intensity.

DESCRIPTION
Saarinen for Knoll International early 1960s - 1970s tulip table; cast iron base with Verdi Alpi 3/4" thick top with signature beveled edge. Knoll label on underside.
Verde Alpi is the most premium marble in Knoll's collection.

Verdi Alpi Italian Marble
CONDITION
Excellent finished marble with NO chipping nor blemishes.  Iron base shows wear and may have need repainted in the past (it is currently a very dark (nearly black) grey/gray color).
CONDITION DETAILS
A nice early table purchased from an Estate sale recently from the original owner in east Texas.
WEAR
None to marble - some wear evident on the (extremely heavy) base.
